The Samsung Pay Financial Institutions’ (FI) Team is looking for a dynamic Manager of Strategy and Operations to join the team. Co-located in Silicon Valley and on the East Coast and organized directly under the GM for Samsung Pay, this team is responsible for bringing new financial institutions onto Samsung Pay in the US and growing the Samsung Mobile Services business through partnerships with Financial Institutions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The Manager of Strategy and Operations will work closely with the primary account managers for financial institutions and will be responsible for performance analysis and growth of partner accounts.

  • Working with Account and Product, this role will develop and own key metrics defining FI performance
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting to partners per contractual requirements
  • Analyze and publish monthly and quarterly performance reporting; deliver recommendations to management and clients on performance improvement
  • Create benchmark, trends and performance forecast reports
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to develop marketing and promotion plans tailored to individual financial partners
  • Develop and publish analytics for partner marketing programs and provide recommendations to management on successful marketing strategies
  • Understand needs of financial institutions and support marketing team in tailoring marketing promotion plans to best utilize assets/strengths of individual financial institutions
  • Own development of marketing toolkits for Issuers/Processor participating in Samsung Pay mass enablement program
  • Own weekly/bi-weekly financial institutions marketing activities
  • Facilitate communications and updates to all FI partner channels including updates of upcoming promotions, new product release cycles, feature updates etc. Necessitates working closely with different units of Samsung Pay to provide complete updates to FI partners
  • Help organize and participate in Fintech conferences advocating Samsung Pay

Qualifications & Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years+ work experience. Prior experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking roles a plus
  • Expertise in data analytics, synthesizing large data sets, creating dashboards and financial models required
  • Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to build rigorous, fact-based documents that support recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to develop content independently, often under tight time constraints
  • Superior collaboration and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively and cultivate relationships across all teams, cultures and levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with display of clear thinking process
  • Must be a team player, collaborating and supporting different Samsung Pay teams
  • Familiarity with Card Payments/ Financial Services/ Mobile Services a plus
