Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Samsung Pay Vertical Lead-Dining & Entertainment–Senior Business Development Manager

As the Vertical Lead you are responsible for positively impacting the Samsung brand and core business by developing the vertical strategy and closely partnering with top tier Dining & Entertainment organizations.  You will leverage your experience in successfully identifying, negotiating and closing long term relationships to achieve business development goals.  You will own the client relationships while being supported by subject matter experts on deep topical content.  The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing, mobile payments, retail services, as well as demonstrated success managing relationships with Dining & Entertainment organizations in the past.  The ability to manage multiple business development initiatives from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be critical for success in this role.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the vertical strategy and execution
  • Continue to develop strong partnerships inside the vertical resulting in increased revenue opportunities and new commerce service deployments
  • Track and understand key account metrics to understand the health of the account
  • Define account strategies and execute go to market plans
  • Coordinate with internal Samsung contacts (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance etc.) throughout the partnership cycle to ensure optimal engagement and communication between Samsung and the vertical partners

Qualifications & Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Prior experience in developing a partnership and go to market strategy for assigned vertical
  • Ability to execute strategy by successfully partnering with top tier Dining & Entertainment organizations
  • Strong consultative sales approach, developing strong partnerships, key account management and retention and contract negotiations.
  • Track record of carrying challenging BD KPI’s and exceeding annual goals for innovative service offerings that are still new to the market
  • Strong project management skills - able to lead, prioritize, develop and provide clear direction, influence across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills required.
  • Able to work effectively in a highly-matrixed, dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with plenty of initiative and drive
